Accolades for Feather Gifts For All Ages from a happy fan!
I just have to tell you what my boyfriend's daughter, Amelia, did on Sunday. I was at Dave's house folding clothes, and Amelia walked up to me and asked "Do you you want to get some feather messages with me?" I looked up from my laundry and there she was, standing with your book in one hand and a bouquet of feathers in the other, smiling as bright as sunshine. I almost burst into tears!
Needless to say, I dropped the laundry and gave her my full attention. She said "Here, this page tells you how to do it. I'll read it to you so you can go first." She read to me, and I followed her instructions, chose a feather from her bouquet, held it to my heart, and closed my eyes.
The message I got was from Dave's aunt Maggie who had just died of pancreatic cancer the day before. Dave, his older family members (not the kids), & I were at her bedside when she passed peacefully at home. The message was simple, "Thank you, I love you, I'm glad to have met you, many blessings."
I relayed the message to Amelia, hoping it would help her with her grieving process. She smiled, "Aunt Maggie talked to you?"
I smiled back, "Yes, she spoke to my heart, and the feather told me her message."
More smiles, "Ok, my turn!" Amelia selected a feather, held it to her heart, & closed her eyes. Soon, a look of disappointment. "I don't hear anything."
I asked, "Are you listening with your ears or with your heart? Sometimes the message is just the first thought or feeling you get, not actual words. Try again, you can't go wrong."
She tried again, "It's Aunt Maggie! She said, 'I'm ok!'" Huge smile.
My heart overflowed. I was amazed at how Amelia approached me wanting to listen to feathers, and how open she was to communicating with her aunt Maggie. It seemed so natural for her to do, and I was so proud of everyone involved: Amelia for being her amazing self, me for encouraging her, Dave for being an incredible dad and boyfriend, Aunt Maggie for coming through, and mostly you, Robin, for writing your book and teaching us all about Feather Gifts.
